Two-phase Countercurrent Scrubber

The current treatment methods for gaseous pollutants can generally be divided into two categories: wet and dry.

a. Wet exhaust gas treatment: Wet exhaust gas treatment adopts acid mist purification tower for exhaust gas treatment, which is suitable for purification of hydrogen chloride gas (HCl), hydrogen fluoride gas (HF), ammonia gas (NH3), sulfuric acid mist (H2SO4), and chromic acid mist. (CrO3), hydrogen cyanide gas (HCN), hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S), low-concentration NOx exhaust gas and other water-soluble gases. The exhaust gas to be treated passes through the spray and filler layers, and the exhaust gas and the sodium hydroxide absorption neutralization liquid are brought into full gas-liquid two-phase absorption and neutralization reaction. After the acid mist exhaust gas is purified, it is deliquored by the deliquoring layer and discharged into the atmosphere.

b. Dry process waste gas treatment: Dry process waste gas treatment refers to the use of unbalanced molecular gravity or chemical bonding forces existing on the solid surface when a gas mixture is in contact with a porous solid. Process on a solid surface. The solid with adsorption function is called adsorbent. Organic gas activated carbon adsorption device is generally used for dry exhaust gas treatment. The principle is that activated carbon has many micropores and a large specific surface area. Depending on molecular gravity and capillary action, solvent vapor and volatile substances can be adsorbed on its surface. The boiling point of the substance. The adsorbed substance is precipitated with steam. When steam is used as the desorption medium, the precipitated organic solvent vapor is condensed together with water vapor through a condenser, enters a separation barrel and is separated to recover the organic solvent.

The Principle:

The acid gas enters the scrubber along the tangential direction from the inferior intake of the tower body. Under dynamic action, the waste gas quickly filled the  intake section, and then flow evenly through the uniform segment to the first stage of packing and absorb section. On the surface of the packing, the gaseous-phase acidic substance will react with alkaline substance in liquid phase. The reaction substance(mostly soluble acids)with the absorption liquid will flow into inferior storage tank, while residual absorb acidic gases continue rising into the first stage of the spray segment. The absorption liquid will be sprayed uniformly from the distributed nozzles at a high speed, forming numerous small droplets, which will deeply mix and contact with the gas. With the chemical reaction continuing, the acid gas rises to the secondary packing and spraying segments, where similar absorption process taking place. However, the nozzle density, liquid spray pressure and absorption concentration ranges are different from the first stage. The two-phase contact process is a heat and mass transfer process, which occurs in the packing and spray segment. We control the superficial gas velocity and retention time to ensure full and stability of this process. The demisting segment is on top of the tower body, which clears down the absorbing liquid droplets in the gas. Finally, the clean air will be exhausted into the atmosphere.

Tower material: FRP; PP; PVC; PPS and other materials.
